Carlos Alcaraz who is the 3rd youngest Wimbledon Champion, is the son of Carlos Alcaraz Snr and Virginia Garfia Escandón

It is hard to believe that Carlos Alcaraz is only 20 years old as he displayed incredible maturity when he collected his trophy for beating Novak Djokovic to win his first Wimbledon men’s singles title. Only hours later after his win, he joined Marketa Vondrousova, who won the women’s singles title at the annual champions’ ball.
Carlos’s father Carlos Alcaraz Snr who was once ranked amongst the top 40 tennis players in Spain. According to The Sun, “He introduced his son to tennis when young Carlos was just four years old, becoming his coach and mentor.”

Carlos’s mother is Virginia Garfia Escandón, who was seated next to her husband Carlos at the Wimbledon men’s singles final. Although she is not from a sporting background herself, she has always been incredibly supportive of her son, and was also there to watch him win the US Open Championships in 2022.

Carlos does not have any sisters, but has three brothers, Alvaro Alcaraz Garfia who is an actor, and two other younger brothers, Sergio and Jaime Aclaraz who are still at school.
